Shortly after the Schnepfauer tunnel in the direction of Au, a serious traffic accident occurred on Saturday morning.
On Saturday, January 21, 2023, at around 08:00 a.m., a 22-year-old German citizen drove his car on the snow-covered L200 coming from Schnepfau in the direction of Au.
The German had three friends with him in the car. At the same time, a 42-year-old man living in Au was driving his vehicle in the opposite direction.
Two seriously injured
Shortly after the Schnepfauer tunnel, the German entered the oncoming lane in a right-hand curve and collided head-on with the oncoming vehicle of the 42-year-old. The two drivers were severely – but not life-threatening – injured in the collision and taken to the LKH Bregenz. The three occupants of the German driver were not injured. Both cars were totaled.
