As published by the portal Diario de Cuba, At least four young people have been murdered in several provinces during the last days in the midst of the criminal escalation that the Island is experiencing, while the Ministerio del Interior (MININT) publicizes the solution of cases accumulated in previous months.
The details that have come out of the murders indicate that they were perpetrated with a high level of cruelty.
A young man was allegedly murdered with a machete on Sunday in the municipality of Baracoa, Guantánamo, as reported in Facebook the victim’s father, Rubén Pérez Pérez. “Today, July 2, my son Ruberlandis Pérez Guilarte was murdered in the El Bambú bar. I hope this fact does not go unpunished, otherwise I will take justice into my own hands. EPD my child,” said Pérez Pérez.
According to an anonymous source cited in Facebook by journalist Alberto Arego, Pérez Guilarte was hacked in the neck with a machete and another person is hospitalized for the same incident. “So far there is no official information in this regard and more details are unknown,” Arego said.

Besides, another young man was murdered with bladed weapons in Manzanillo on Saturday, and his brother is in serious condition after being stabbed by the same group that allegedly attacked them, reported Arego in another publication.
Those close to the deceased (Roberto López, 21 years old) told Arego that the event occurred during a party in the town of Troya. “He was a neighbor of mine in the neighborhood, he lived in La Demajagua. He was a good boy and a worker. His mother is called Yuneidis and his father is Roberto. They were at the wake of some people in Troy and it seems that they arrived at the party alone and about six of Calicito fell on him there. And after they killed him, they hit him on the floor (until) they left him blue. The deceased is from La Demajagua. The others are from Calicito. There are three neighborhoods attached (with Yara). That belongs to Manzanillo,” explained the Arego source.
Seven people are in custody for López’s murder, according to Arego. A close relative told this journalist: “The mother’s name is Yuneidis Roget Figueredo. She could not be at her son’s wake because she was taking care of the other one in the hospital. He may need surgery because he has fluid in his lungs.”
