Family disputes led to a police operation in Gelsenkirchen on Christmas Eve, December 24th. A man who assaulted his wife was barred from returning.

Escalated family dispute in Gelsenkirchen: mother attacks 52-year-old sister-in-law

According to the police, the 30-year-old from Gelsenkirchen rioted on Saturday around 7:15 p.m. on Hüttenstrasse in Bulmke-Hüllen and threatened, choked and slightly injured his wife, who was the same age. The 52-year-old mother of the Gelsenkirchen woman was also injured when she was attacked by the 30-year-old’s mother.

Together with his parents, the Gelsenkirchener left the apartment before police officers arrived at the scene. The officers discovered the man a short time later with his parents in a car at a gas station on Bismarckstrasse. They secured cannabis from the 30-year-old from Gelsenkirchen, as well as a knife that was in the car.






In addition, the officials conducted a threat speech with those present and gave the man a ban on returning to the apartment on Hüttenstrasse.
