IDuring his audience Thursday at the Royal Palace in Brussels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered an extraordinary gift to King Philippe. He gave him a fragment of a Russian SU25 plane shot down in Ukraine, the Palace reported Thursday evening in a message posted on Twitter.
The English words ‘together we win’ were written by Ukrainian soldiers on this aircraft part.
Mr Zelensky was welcomed at the Royal Palace by King Philip and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. It was the leader’s only bilateral Belgian-Ukrainian meeting during his trip to Belgium on Thursday. The other talks of the Ukrainian president were organized at European level.

For the Belgian sovereign, this interview allowed him to be informed by Mr. Zelensky of the situation in Ukraine and to show him Belgium’s support.
