The Belgian Defense established a program of 32 formations to help the army of Volodymyr Zelensky. Some will be given in Belgium, others in allied countries.

Dhe visit to Brussels on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had planned to welcome them at 6 p.m. on their arrival at Melsbroek military airport. His overloaded schedule finally forced him to stand them up. As soon as they landed on Belgian soil, it was therefore by Ludivine Dedonder, the Belgian Minister of Defense (PS) that eight young soldiers from the Odessa naval base were welcomed. For a week, they will receive extensive and accelerated training in order to be able to use underwater mine clearance drones that Belgium has offered to Ukraine. In the coming months, they will be followed by other colleagues who will receive a whole range of training in various fields.
