MP EELV wants Nupes voters to be able to “adhere directly” to the left-wing coalition bringing together several left-wing parties including LFI, EELV or the PS in order to get out of “shop logic”.

EELV-Nupes deputy Sandrine Rousseau called this Sunday on BFMTV in favor of an evolution of the statutes of Nupes, a left-wing coalition bringing together several parties including the environmentalist party to which she belongs.

Obtain “union” on the left

“There is a challenge within the Nupes, it is to ensure that we can join the Nupes directly”, she calls, while specifying that “for that, we must change the statutes” .

“That way, the leaders of the different parties who have personal logics within their own party, which are boutique logics, (…) will see that what the people of the left and ecology are asking for, it is the union”, she justifies.

“There will be no future, no possible alternation without a union of ecology and the left,” she argues.

Rousseau wants a “place of debate” on the left

“We absolutely need to have a Nupes parliament and above all to draw something. What is the society we want? (…) For that we need places for debate”, she underlines.

“The Nupes is not just an electoral alliance”, she wants to believe, calling once again for an “act II of the Nupes”.

This proposal is intended in particular to be a response to the tensions that are emerging on the left, while LFI deputy Manuel Bompard is calling this Sunday in the JDD the national secretary of the PCF Fabien Roussel to “stop shooting at his camp”.

The LFI coordinator also proposed to launch a joint list with Nupes for the next European elections. “It would be a mistake to leave separately” between elected leftists and environmentalists, he says.
