WHERE IS ANNE FRANK – in cinemas from February 23
Anne Frank creates the imaginary friend Kitty in her diary in 1942 and writes to her for more than two years.
In the film, Kitty comes to life in Amsterdam and goes in search of Anne and the Frank family. She follows Anne’s footsteps, from the Secret Annex to her tragic death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
She is supported on her journey by her boyfriend Peter, who runs a secret shelter for refugees without valid residence papers.
Confused by Europe’s shattered world and the injustices faced by refugee children, Kitty wants to achieve Anne’s goal. Through her daring, she conveys hope and tolerance to future generations.
