There was a wild chase with the police in Hard on Friday evening.
On Friday evening there was a police check in Hard, during which numerous drivers were checked for the influence of narcotics. Shortly before the checkpoint, the officers noticed a car that suddenly turned into the Jet gas station, apparently to evade control.

When the police officers nevertheless wanted to check it, the driver quickly reversed his vehicle, hitting an officer standing next to the car. He also touched the service vehicle during his escape. Irrespective of this, the car driver fled at high speed on the L202 in the direction of Bregenz. He drove over several traffic lights and posed an enormous danger to other road users due to his reckless driving style. He also damaged a lane divider, the splintered concrete parts of which damaged a car driving in oncoming traffic.
Driver was under the influence of drugs and without a driver’s license
The police officers were able to follow the fugitives in a wild chase to a side street in Hard, where the perpetrator wanted to continue his escape on foot. After almost 200 meters, however, the executive managed to arrest him. It turned out that the driver did not have a valid driving license and had driven the vehicle under the influence of drugs. In addition, the number plates mounted on the car were stolen. The driver now expects several administrative reports to the district authority and a criminal complaint to the Feldkirch public prosecutor’s office.
