A man from Dornbirn caught a man in flagrante masturbating on Lake Harder Bodensee.
After the VOL.AT reporting on the wild goings-on at the A14 rest areas in Vorarlberg, a reader contacted the editors. There is also a place in Hard where sexual acts take place, he explained.
“Satisfy yourself completely uninhibited”
“In the forest between the nudist site Hard (not on the site) and the parking lot, there is also wild activity,” Dornbirner reported to VOL.AT. There’s a lot going on on the heavily frequented path outside the nudist area: “For example, men sit there and satisfy themselves completely uninhibitedly in front of the guests of FKK Hard, who walk along the fence there,” he says.

Just last Monday, May 8th, the man from Dornbirn, who is often out and about in the area himself, caught a bather in flagranti with his pants down and his hand on the best piece. He didn’t even respond to his request to stop: “The gentleman didn’t care that he was photographed after a warning,” he says. He had observed the gentlemen in question several times. “He sits there and waits for someone to walk past to the site,” says the reader. “He does it so provocatively, sitting there like in a shop window,” he says. “I was the template for masturbation here,” he says.

There are several men out there, some different, some always the same. “Many just want to be observed”
You can also read about the surroundings of the FKK in relevant online forums. The grove, as well as the parking lot, seem to serve as meeting points. You should “lay out a towel and play around with yourself, then someone will come along,” writes one user. “Many just want to be observed.” In addition to single men, couples are also on the move, as forum entries prove: “We enjoy the day in the nudist one way or the other if we meet someone likeable – great! If not, we enjoy a nice day together for seamless tanning.” As with the former glory hole in Wolfurt, some have doubts about the meeting point: “There are also a lot of kids there, and in front of them? Well, please don’t,” says one. “Most of them are certainly there without any ulterior motives and nobody wants to offend them,” explains another.

“I heard about it too”
The nudist area falls under the company “Harder Sport- und Freizeitanlagen BetriebsgmbH”, according to the information from the municipality of Hard to VOL.AT. “I’ve heard about it, too,” says Erich Lindner, Managing Director of Harder Sport- und Freizeitanlagen, to VOL.AT. He has not yet noticed a case himself. “You talk a lot,” says Lindner. “The last time I heard that and was asked about it, that was almost twenty years ago,” he says. Since it happens next to and not on the site, it is not the responsibility of the operator. “It’s always important when something like this happens, you should report it to the appropriate authority,” he explains to VOL.AT. In the bathroom itself, there are always security guards in addition to the lifeguard.

“If something like that were to happen, people would call us right away”
According to Lindner, the police in Höchst are responsible for the area around the nudist site. “It happens from time to time that a message comes in,” said the police inspector Höchst to VOL.AT. However, one cannot speak of an accumulation. There are regular patrols in the area. Because there are larger parking lots in the area, the police are often on the road there. “Normally, if something like that happens, people call us right away,” says the Höchst police department.
