A Vila Franca de Xira City Council revealed, this Tuesday, that the Xira Sound Fest, which will replace the traditional Youth Festival, will return in force to the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira next May.

According to a statement on the Vila Franca de Xira City Council website, in addition to the name change, there are other novelties. “The Vila Franca de Xira Urban Park will have a ‘Street Food’ area, with the enclosure opening at 7 pm, four days of concerts and ‘dance music’ and a poster that brings together the best of the national music scene and at a more extended than usual”.

The program also extends to the 27th and 28th of May, with activities in different artistic areas and in a decentralized way, with programming also covering the cities of Alverca do Ribatejo and Póvoa de Santa Iria.

The municipality ends the note by underlining that the festival is “yet another strong commitment by the Municipality of Vila Franca de Xira in the area of ​​Youth, with the ‘Xira Sound Fest’ asserting itself as a reference in the calendar of events promoted in the municipality”.

Access to the enclosure is free, limited to the capacity of the enclosure, he says.
