The national flag oil company, YPF, announced that it begins this Thursday with the price adjustment of its fuels, by an average of 4%. The same measure that the oil company Shell took yesterday, and that other oil companies are expected to take, maintaining the average agreed with the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, as a measure to try to control inflation.

This adjustment, which occurs within the framework of the commitments assumed that are publicly known, helps to offset the variation in the official exchange rate, the higher logistics and operating costs, and the increase in biofuel prices, according to information from the company. The decision of the companies is within the framework of the agreement reached between the oil companies and the national government by which fuels are part of the Fair Prices program and can increase per month with a cap of 4%. In March, that ceiling is 3.8%.

At Shell, starting at midnight this Wednesday, the value of fuel prices at Shell service stations throughout the country was updated, thus marking an increase in both gasoline and diesel. In Misiones, Posadas and Jardín América the first to adjust their prices. As expected, the increase was 4%. The oil company Axion also announced an adjustment in its values for the next few hours.
