Each Internet box has an administrator interface to access advanced settings for its network and its connection. The terms of access change depending on whether we are talking about a Live from Orange, a Freebox from Free, a Bbox from Bouygues or an SFR box.
Whether you have a subscription to Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom or Free, your Internet box has a dashboard that you may not be aware of. However, this more complete view allows you to supervise your local network with more finesse. You still need to know how to access it, because the paths are different from one operator to another.
Show Livebox interface
At Orange, access to the administrator interface of the Livebox is done by typing either a specific URL in the input field of your web browser, or by writing the IP address associated with it. This connection to the Livebox must, of course, be made from its network (via Wi-Fi or by being connected by a cable). The Livebox must also be switched on.
- 192.168.1.1 to connect to the Orange Livebox;
- http://livebox/ to opt for the solution with the URL.
In either case, you will then see a page on the screen asking you to log in. The username is “admin” and the password is made up of the first eight characters of the Wi-Fi security key (this code can be seen on the label located under the Livebox). If this password does not suit you, this administration panel will allow you to change it.
You also have the option of connecting to the administration of your Livebox via the My Livebox application, which is available on android and iOS.
Connect to the administration of the Bbox
For Bouygues Telecom customers, the process is similar, except that you have to use another URL or another IP address. If you are looking to access it for the first time, a configuration phase will have to be completed: in particular, you will have to press the Wi-Fi button on the Bbox, then define the password to access the administration panel.

For those who prefer the option of mobile access, there is an application on iOS and android.
Access the Freebox settings
On the Free side, the connection to the administration panel of the Freebox (whether it is the Pop, the Delta, the Mini 4K or the Revolution) goes through a common URL. Note that a connection by IP address is not offered. Again, you must ensure that your computer or smartphone is well connected to the network to control your Freebox.

If this is your first connection, you will be guided to configure a password — you will then have to press a button (the right arrow) on your Freebox Server. This is a security measure involving physical access to your hardware. Then set the password and use it to log in to the Freebox dashboard.
Here again, a mobile version exists with Freebox Connect on iOS and android.
Configure your SFR box
With SFR, access to the management interface of your SFR box is done by two means: a URL or an IP address. From the home network, you must enter your username and password to connect. For a THD box, the password is on the label stuck under the device. When connecting for the first time, you will need to press the WPS button for a few seconds.
- 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 to connect to the SFR box (depending on the model);
- http://mymodem in the case of a THD box.
On the mobile side, you have the SFR & Me option which exists on android and iOS.
What is the point of accessing the interface of your box?
On a daily basis, the administration interface of his box will be the least of your worries: if your network works well, you will have no reason to go there. Accessing the settings of your Internet access is rather necessary when you need to troubleshoot your connection, to change the Wi-Fi password, restart the box remotely and so on.
Here are the features that we usually find each time:

- Activation / deactivation of Wi-Fi;
- Changing the Wi-Fi password;
- Changing the name of the Wi-Fi network;
- Definition of time slots for Wi-Fi operation;
- Mac address filtering;
- Display of its IP address;
- Visualization of the statistics of use of its Internet line;
- Presentation of all the devices currently connected to the local network (from the PC to the smartphone, via a tablet, a printer, a connected object, etc.);
- Display of CPL boxes (Power Line Communication);

- Fixed line call history indication;
- Access to voicemail from the telephone line;
- Filtering and transfer of calls to the box;
- Triggering the ringtone of the landline telephone;
