A 5-year-old boy was seriously injured during a lawn mower accident in Wellesley, Massachusetts on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
At approximately 2:02 p.m., Wellesley police say they received a 911 call from 28 South River St. reporting that a 5-year-old boy had sustained a serious injury to his right leg as a result of a lawn mower accident. grass.
The Wellesley Fire Department, Cataldo paramedics and several Wellesley Police units were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers attended to the child and performed emergency maneuvers.
Authorities said the boy was airlifted to Boston Children’s Hospital a short time later for treatment. They said the boy was in serious but stable condition when he was transported.
