A Connecticut man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing three girls in February 2021, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

Authorities said Hector Torres, 34, was sentenced to 300 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release for child exploitation crimes.

Court documents show that three girls, ages 11 and 12, were forced to send Torres nude photos of themselves and engage in sexual activity.

Authorities said Torres picked up the girls in his car and drove them to a shopping plaza parking lot in Hartford, where each of them engaged in sexual activity with Torres under her direction.

Authorities said Torres promised to give the girls money, sneakers, vaping supplies and food if they sent him nude photos and engaged in sexual acts with him.

In March 2021, investigators reviewed multiple videos of the sexual assault. Torres was arrested a month later and in March of this year he pleaded guilty to two counts of coercion and seduction of minors, as well as one count of production of child pornography, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The FBI and various law enforcement agencies are investigating.
