Algerian director Yahia Mouzahem has broken the silence on rumors about a second season of the cult series, Eddama. In a statement given to a French-speaking Algerian media, the talented producer gave more details in this regard. Indeed, he confirmed that there will be no second season for the series, contrary to what has been relayed on social networks.

However, Yahia Mouzahem has promised his fans to come back next year with productions that will meet their expectations. Among other things, he expressed his pride for the success of the Eddama series. As a reminder, the latter has already reached 100 million views on YouTube. Moreover, it took part in the Top 10 of the best Arab productions, broadcast during the holy month.

In this sense, Mouzahem claimed that this success was partly thanks to the efforts of screenwriter Sarah Bertima. According to him, the talented screenwriter managed to captivate the audience with her screenplay. Despite this, the producer of the sitcom “Timoucha” was not completely satisfied with the final rendering of the series. According to his words, the result could have been better if the means had been made available to him.
