brian gutekunstgeneral manager of the Green Bay Packers, he was confident that the team’s all-star veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgerswill not withdraw and return for the Season 2023.

“He’s going to take some time, I think that’s fair. We made a big commitment to him last season and it wasn’t just for this year. He’s going to take his time and communication will be constant as we move into next season.” Gutekunst said in a conference.

After the Green Bay Packers were eliminated in the final week of the 2022 season, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is 39, left open the possibility of retiring.

“It might be time to walk away. I’ve got to take some time and say, Hell, of course not! I’ve got to get back in there and do another season. I’m not going to hold them hostage. March is free agency, so I just need to some time,” Rodgers confessed.

Brian Gutekunst explained that the poor results of the campaign in which Green Bay finished in third place in the North of the Conference with eight games won and nine losses, hit the spirit of his quarterback and the entire team.

“It was not a great year offensively for us. But we are sure that he can still play at a very high level. I really liked the way he guided us. As we move into the next month we will see how he feels,” said the NFL manager.

Gutekunst assured that they will not pressure the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player who already led the Packers to win a Super Bowl in the XLV edition. “We talked this week and they were very good conversations.”

“We talked about the season, what went well, what went wrong, what he liked and what he didn’t, but not much future stuff; I have always tried to give him his time”, added the boss of the Packers.
