News on Alan Wake 2, due out this year. Remedy gives reassuring news of the title in a press release.

If I say “third-person horror game” to you, you most certainly think of Resident Evil et Silent Hill. Logically, these two particularly popular licenses offered us a nice handful of quality games. Some players would most likely mention The Evil Within. With its first two games, the series created by Shinji Mikami, father of the Resident Evil license, also hit the market hard. Let’s not forget the franchise either. Alone in the Dark, created by the French Infogrames. A remake of the game should also be released in the next few years. In one episode, Alan Wake, title of Remedy, knew how to bring its own touch to the genre with the use of light sources to weaken enemies. The thriller, with its gripping storyline, wowed audiences when it was released in 2010. Alan Wake 2, long claimed and finally announced at The Game Awards 2021, is set to release this year. Remedy provides updates on development progress.

Alan Wake 2 nearing the end of its development

In a statement published on its official website, Remedy discusses the development ofAlan Wake 2. Good news for fans: the project is progressing very well. The title will be released this year.

Alan Wake 2 is on its way to becoming a big game and everyone at Remedy is excited. We have started the last major phase of production to have the game ready for launch later this year. The project team is complete, but we may begin to gradually reduce the size of the team as we move towards launch. Although there is still work to be done, I am impressed with the quality of the work and the speed of development of the team. The game is very promising. This will be our first new game launch since Control in 2019. Alan Wake 2 will be a game we will all be proud of and most importantly, I’m sure players will enjoy playing it.

A horrific adventure that zaps PS4 and Xbox One

Alan Wake 2, in which we will find the bestselling author, should therefore not be delayed. After 13 years of waiting, the news should delight fans. And those who particularly appreciate third-person games can be reassured: the series will not begin a transformation like Resident Evil with its 7th episode. Screenwriter Sam Lake confirmed this a few months ago. Remember that the survival horror will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. Like more and more AAAs, it skips the PS4 and Xbox One.
