BFMTV slipped into the filming of Retirement home 2, by and with Kev Adams. This second part welcomes new residents.
“If someone had told me that some time after the 1 we would be filming the 2, I would not have believed it”. In the middle of filming the second part of Retirement home 2Kev Adams, on both sides of the camera alongside director Claude Zidi Jr, still can’t believe this surprise success.
“That’s also the magic of success, you never expect it, you never know,” he explains to BFMTV, who slipped into this shoot.
“A lot of people told us ‘it’s not the right time, it’s not the right subject, it’s not the right actors. It’s crazy what happened on the 1st, it’s extraordinary “.
New faces
After Gérard Depardieu, Mylène Demongeot, Jean-Luc Budeau, Liliane Rovère and Marthe Villalonga, this second part, shot near Toulon, features Jean Reno, Amanda Lear, Michel Jonasz and Enrico Macias.
Surfing on the news, the first film by Thomas Gilou on an original idea by Kev Adams, attracted two million spectators in theaters in 2022. Delayed because of covid, Retirement home was released when the scandal had just broken out. Orpéa, and abuse brought to light thanks to the book by journalist Victor Castanet.
