The 2022 African Nations Championship in Algeria took place in very good conditions. Atmosphere in the stands, stadiums with world standards or infrastructures equipped with all the amenities characterized the tournament. And this, in the three sites hosting the event, namely Algiers, Oran, Constantine and Annaba.
It must be said that all those who attended the 7th edition of CHAN are unanimous in saying that it was a total success. Our country took advantage of this to boost its candidacy to host CAN-2025.

As everyone knows, the organizing committee of CHAN has invited several African football legends to attend. The former Senegalese international, El-Hadji Diouf, was part of it.
The least we can say is that El-Hadji Diouf was impressed by the good organization of the 7th edition of CHAN but also by the new infrastructures with which Algeria is equipped. He did not hesitate to say that our country can even claim to organize a World Cup.
“I say it and I say it again. Algeria can even organize a World Cup”. He told the Algerian media, after the CHAN Algeria-Senegal final.
The former star of the Lions of Terranga does not stop there. He says that if Algeria will have the honor of hosting CAN-2025 “it will not be a surprise. A large country like Algeria must organize several events given the large infrastructures it has”. He added.
