Chelsea FC have received a rejection in their courtship for midfielder Amadou Onana from Everton FC. The blues were after FT-Info presented a concrete offer to the 21-year-old and even had initial talks. But how FT learned from France, the former Lille OSC player dismissed the request from London. The Toffees also have no interest in letting their top performer go in the middle of a relegation battle.
Onana had moved from Lille to Everton for 36 million euros before the season. The Belgian international is a regular at the Liverpool club and has played 20 out of a possible 22 competitive games so far. The former HSV professional is tied to his employer until 2027. Chelsea must therefore look for other alternatives for the headquarters. Another candidate remains Moisés Caicedo (21) from Brighton & Hove Albion.
