This ban is justified by the prefecture for several reasons: non-compliance with the deadlines for declaring a rally (three clear days), possible disruption of a sporting event with the announcement on social networks of the distribution of whistles (whistle being prohibited in sports arenas so as not to disturb the refereeing) and wish to avoid any politicization of a sporting event.
“We are going to make a summary freedom”, reacted Kamel Brahmi, general secretary of the CGT of Seine-Saint-Denis, considering that “the declaration was made in due time”. “Anyway, we won’t be able to stifle social protest with this type of decision.”
