The general secretary of Morena, Citlalli Hernández, and the founder of the Morenista National Convention, John Ackerman, clashed on Twitter due to the project of the Electoral Tribunal to declare illegal the expansion of the party leadership from 2023 to 2024, including the secretary, based on a challenge by the academic and other militants.
In the exchange, they were accused of using social programs to buy and coerce the vote.
“It is not worth being a lamp on the street and darkness in the house. Your complicity with the buying of votes, the conditioning of programs and the double charge weakens Morena,” Ackerman said.
The discussion began due to Hernández’s comments in a radio interview about the Electoral Tribunal’s draft resolution that could be voted on next week.
If approved, it will dismiss her and the party leader, Mario Delgado, considering that there was an early rise in the National Congress of Morena, where the extension of their mandates was approved and that it was challenged by 17 militants.
“Unfortunately, Ackermann and other colleagues filed an appeal, but it is not logical that they validate the rest and want to interfere in our internal life saying that we are not democratic,” said the general secretary and the aforementioned requested the right of reply.

After Congress, where the extension of the Morena leadership period and the modification of its statutes were approved under the pretext of organizing the 2024 election, Ackerman had denounced even before López Obrador the use of social programs, coercion and purchase of the vote and the transport of sympathizers, and that reminded Citlalli today.
“Of course I support Delfina Gómez (Morena’s candidate in the State of Mexico, but it is not worth being a lamp on the street and darkness in the house,” he replied on his Twitter account.
