"I want to have my own company"

A Cuban who emigrated to the United States is happy working in a food truck in Miami, and he does not plan to stop until one day he has his own food truck company.

Yosbani Bello Roqueborn in Rodas, Cienfuegos, is grateful for having arrived in a country that opened its doors to him and has given him great opportunities to get ahead and help his family.

“It’s a family business, I started it with my uncle and I’m working from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. I get up at four or so in the morning. I have quite a few clients, it’s going well for me, thank God,” assured the journalist Javier Diaz, of Univision 23.

Yosbani related that the first months away from Cuba were difficult because he missed his family, his children, but he clarified that later “you adapt, you pick up the pace and you always go outside.”

Although he is not yet a permanent resident, that does not stop him from dreaming and setting more ambitious goals.

“I want to make a line of food trucks and have several, we already have and one trailer, there are three; it means that we are doing quite well. And nothing, keep moving forward to see how far I can go and start my own company,” he stressed.

He advised newcomers to the United States not to be afraid of work, which is harder than in Cuba.

“The first months are hard, but little by little you are getting on track and you are gaining stability, and when you already have stability, you have financial stability, in your home and emotionally, life takes care of itself,” he said.
