In less than an hour, three women are stabbed in New York subway stations

NEW YORK — Authorities are searching for the suspect in the stabbing of three women in Manhattan subway stations in less than an hour on Sunday afternoon, New York City Police said.

The first case was recorded at around 4:14 pm when a 19-year-old girl was leaving the line 4 train at the 86 Street – Lexington Avenuethe police report says. As the victim was walking up the platform stairs, toward the exit, the suspect approached from behind her and stabbed her in the right leg with an unidentified object.

It was at this time that he also approached a 48-year-old woman who was standing on the southbound platform and severed her right leg. The alleged attacker fled on a line 4 train.

In this case, from the same station, both victims were transported to an area hospital and treated for their injuries.

Almost 10 minutes later, at around 4:32 p.m., the same man approached another 28-year-old woman, who was on the line 4 train near the station. Brooklyn Bridge – City Halland severed his left leg with an unknown sharp object.

The individual then exited the train at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station and was last seen fleeing through the Brooklyn Bridge subway station exit. Chambers Street towards places unknown. The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for a severe laceration to his left leg.

The suspect is described as male, with short black hair, brown eyes, 5’8″ tall and approximately 220 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants, black tennis shoes, and a black baseball cap with the letter “B” in red on the front.
