The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) agreed that it be excepted of the payment of the Income Tax, a series of additional agreements, which will benefit some 600,000 workers in a dependency relationship.

The pocket salary improvement, depending on the areas in which each employee works, will be up to 16%, sources from the economic portfolio indicated.

Among the concepts that will no longer pay the tax, generating a positive impact on the wages of the workers reached, are the productivity bonuses, the cash ruling and concepts of a similar nature; those for mobility, travel expenses and other similar compensation, and overtime, additional hours for rotating shifts and similar items.

According to reports from the Ministry of Economy, during the week Massa held meetings with the leadership of the CGT at different times, in which Hugo Moyano, Héctor Daer, Carlos Acuña, Andrés Rodríguez and Jorge Solá participated, with whom he negotiated the details of the extent.

How many workers will the measure benefit?

The norm is would make it official this monday through an opinion of the Undersecretary of Public Revenues (SSIP) together with a resolution of the Ministry of Economy and the Federal Agency of Public Revenues (AFIP).

Of the around 600,000 workers benefited from the measure, 270,000 correspond to the province of Buenos Aires, 75,000 to the City of Buenos Aires, 4,400 from Catamarca, 4,890 from Chaco, 11,800 from Chubut, 48,800 from Córdoba, 7,200 from Corrientes, 15,300 from Entre Ríos, 5,000 from Formosa, 5,500 from Jujuy, 7,400 from La Pampa, 3,600 from La Rioja, 21,600 from Mendoza, 8,200 from Misiones and 12,707 from Neuquén.

10,600 workers from Río Negro, 7,400 from Salta, 7,200 from San Juan, 6,300 from San Luis, 3,800 from Santa Cruz, 46,400 from Santa Fe, 4,400 from Santiago del Estero and 14,300 from Tucumán will also benefit.
