In fact, it probably didn’t take too long for Cuoco to wrap up The Big Bang Theory. In fact, it only took two sentences. As she said in conversation:
“It’s a true story. Even though ‘The Big Bang Theory’ felt like the show would go on for maybe 25 more years, I eventually realized that wasn’t the case. My team, who I’ve been with for a very long time working together suggested that I should look for a book or an article that I could adapt. However, I wasn’t particularly interested. I was like, ‘Something’s going to happen.’ One night I was browsing Amazon for books about to be released and I saw ‘The Flight Attendant’ and it hadn’t even been out at the time I saw the cover of the book, they say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover , but that’s exactly what I did. There were about two sentences about the content, a very, very vague description. I know this sounds cheesy now, but I really got heart palpitations and goosebumps and I immediately called my team.”
Apparently she had the right instinct. After a successful first season, “The Flight Attendant” was promptly approved for a sequel. Incidentally, Cuoco has already found his way into the cinema. “The Man From Toronto” is the name of a crime comedy starring Woody Harrelson, Kevin Hart and Ellen Barkin, which will be released in cinemas in 2022. Cuoco’s next project is called “Role Play” with Bill Nighy.
