Kingston Highlights Its Lineup Of Encrypting Storage Devices At Event

In an event held in São Paulo last Thursday (25th), Kingston executives in Brazil highlighted the brand’s wide range of products, with special focus on the IronKey divisiondedicated to storage devices with cryptographic security mechanisms.

The Be Safe with Us event, which was attended by TudoCelular, had as one of the guests the executives Paulo Vizacocountry manager for Brazil and Kingston’s etail director for Latin America, and Fabio Bottalo, Kingston’s marketing manager in Brazil. On the occasion, the duo spoke about the expectation of the technology sector for the Brazilian territory and addressed information security as a central point.

Data security is increasingly sought after by Kingston’s customers, including large corporations. Therefore, we are very happy to have a campaign to talk about this subject that seems to be futuristic, but is actually very current. We believe that the Kingston IronKey line can offer more security when storing and transferring sensitive data.

The Kingston IronKey product line is comprised of a series of USB sticks and SSDs that offer advanced storage options with hardware encryption for data protection. Unlike other security features that are flawed or leave data more susceptible to intrusions and theft, such as software-only encrypted drives, the new storage solutions promise protection without weaknesses.

Being aware of the value of the information saved in our machines is the first step towards understanding the importance of having your company’s data, or even your personal information, in a safe place, free of invasions and susceptible thefts. With increasing mobility at work, the need for encryption is an inevitable growing.

In addition to the ability to 256-bit XTS-AES encryptioncertificate FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and certified FIPS 197, Kingston IronKey devices offer protection against BadUSB and brute force attacks. With them you can enable Admin, User and One Time Recovery passwords where Admin can reset a User password and create a recovery password to restore User access to data. There is also a way to avoid malware attacks with the Read Only mode set by the Admin to the User and use the passphrase mode, which allows a numeric PIN, phrase with spaces, list of words or even song lyrics – from 10 to 64 characters – to access the data contained in the devices.

The facilities that the Kingston IronKey line offers are also useful in the corporate field. Hardware-encrypted drives make it easy to centrally manage usage and access policies for each company’s versions and models. Kingston IronKey products provide management of employee User and One Time Recovery passwords and with them it is possible to recover access to data on locked drives so that everything is in compliance with laws and regulations when expertise is required.

At the event, the new line of new generation DDR5 RAM memories was also discussed, which is part of the Kingston FURY line, a gaming brand for memory hardware used by gamers and composed of items that indicate high-performance storage.
