In the past few months, “Goodbye Germany” star Lisha has lost a lot of weight. She lost over 40 pounds because of appetite suppressants and a strict diet. Now, for the first time, she has openly admitted to having an eating disorder.

Mallorca – Since 2021, Lisha Savage (36) and her husband Lou (33) have been showing their everyday life as emigrants on “Goodbye Germany”. In their sunny adopted home of Mallorca, the two enjoy their happiness in love – which they sealed in autumn 2022 with a TV dream wedding – but fans of the stylish couple also have reason to worry. Because Lisha has lost a lot of weight in the past few months and is hardly recognizable in personal photos.

“Not funny anymore”: “Goodbye Germany” star Lisha speaks openly about her eating disorder

Her fans feared the worst for a long time and Lisha’s husband Lou even had to force the “Goodbye Germany” emigrant to eat. Now Lisha and Lou speak up with an emotional YouTube video in which the likeable TV star speaks openly about her extreme weight loss for the first time. “Guys, I said I want to be honest in this video and I definitely have an eating disorder,” Lisha admits, “It’s really at the point where it’s not funny anymore.”

“I still see myself – when I look in the mirror today – with the same figure as when I weighed 78 kilos,” explains Lisha sadly. “It’s so sick, man,” Lou says sadly, “For us outsiders, it’s unbelievable, so you can’t even understand it”. But Lou is said to have been in a similar situation a few years ago – and lost 20 kilos. “You can see how quickly you slip in there and don’t really check it anymore,” says Lisha.

Risk of eating disorders – a danger that should not be underestimated:

The Federal Ministry of Health distinguishes between three main forms of eating disorders: anorexia (Anorexia), bulimia (Eating and vomiting addiction) and binge eating disorder (regularly occurring binge eating without weight-regulating measures). According to the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA), the latter occurs most frequently: Out of 1,000 girls and women, an average of 28 people develop it, followed by 19 for bulimia and 14 for anorexia. Particularly difficult: Individually, it is often not possible to make clear classifications, as there is often a mixed form. Further information as well as advice and assistance can be found on the BZgA website specifically geared towards eating disorders.

“I broke my thyroid”: “Goodbye Germany” star Lisha about her eating disorder

As Lisha explains, the many negative comments about her weight have only made her eating disorder worse. “The more people said to me, ‘You’re skinny, you can see your ribs’, the more I thought, ‘Yeah man, I’m skinny! Finally – I look sick, I’m skinny!'” she recalls, “I just wanted to be skinny.” The turning point for her was finally a video in the bathroom mirror: “I watched this video and thought to myself: what the hell, do you really look so thin?” – for Lisha it was finally clear that this could not continue can and that she must gain weight.

As Lisha openly admits, it’s proving to be quite a challenge. “I think I’ve wrecked my thyroid with these appetite suppressants and not eating for so long that it’s now over-functioning and I’m just gaining weight very, very hard,” she explains. “Now I’m really eating, eating and I’ve already gained two kilos and you can see it,” she reports proudly and Lou joins her: “We’re not fattening her now, but she’s just trying to eat a little more than normal.”

Lisha happily announces that she now weighs 55.6 kilos again and has set herself the goal of reaching 58 kilos – even if the past few months are obviously still very stressful for her.

“It’s such a sick thing and it’s so dangerous and I think if I didn’t have my dad and Lou it would be a disaster,” she explains. And Lou also has an important message: “If you’re in there, I wish that your loved ones will help you get out of there, because I’ve seen for myself what it’s like and how it can end. Please be careful and don’t convince yourself that it’s not the case. “The “Goodbye Germany” stars Lisha and Lou have been a couple for a long time and have changed a lot in the last 12 years.
