LOVE Island’s Kai Fegan quit his job as a physical education and science teacher just weeks before flying out to join the show.
The 24-year-old from Manchester has been chosen from hundreds of thousands of applicants to join the winter version of the hit ITV2 show.

But before he could join the other Islanders, he had to give up his job as a teacher.
It has now been revealed that Kai actually quit his job just before Christmas break.
This was discovered after one of his students told Love Island fans how he left their school to take part in the show.
Commenting on an Instagram post about the new islanders, a pupil of Kai wrote: “The second was my science teacher before he left a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, today Kai was the second islander to be announced by ITV.
The keen rugby player then changed his social media profile to his Love Island snap and wrote: ‘I’m leaving to find love in the villa @loveisland. Goodbye!”
And he might be hard to please after admitting he has high standards.
Before the show started, he told ITV: “I’m single by choice.
“I’m looking for the right girl. I feel like I have pretty high expectations.
“I don’t think I should commit to anyone unless I’m absolutely buzzing them because it’s not fair to them.”
Kai isn’t the first PE teacher to try his luck on the dating show.
Hugo Hammond has swapped the classrooms of the exclusive Blundell’s School in Devon for the luxury of the villa in the summer of 2021.
He found success with viewers, but struggled to find romance before being sent on his own after a series of unsuccessful partnerships.
However, he finally got his happy ending by going public with his British triathlete girlfriend Molly Wilkins a year after his foray into reality TV.
