Rocco Reitz will spend the rest of the season at VV St. Truiden. Borussia Mönchengladbach announce that the 20-year-old midfielder will be loaned out to the Belgian first division club. “Rocco approached us with the wish to be awarded to St. Truiden again. It is important for him to play regularly. With us, however, he would probably only have played a few games in the further course of this season due to the great competition in defensive midfield.”explains sporting director Roland Virkus.
Reitz was already active for St. Truiden on loan in the 2021/22 season and made 24 appearances for the club. After his return to the Fohlenelf in the summer, however, he was unable to assert himself there. A meager two Bundesliga minutes are available for the native of Duisburg. His contract in Gladbach runs until 2024.
