Air raid alarms went off across Ukraine on New Year’s Eve. Explosions were registered in many regions. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia fired 20 cruise missiles, 12 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian military. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 45 drones were destroyed on New Year’s Eve.

Not only in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv was the civil infrastructure destroyed in four districts. Explosions also occurred in Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhia and Mykolaiv.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a speech that “the non-humans who launched several waves of rocket attacks on the people on New Year’s Eve will surely lose.”

“Missiles against the people. Exactly, against the people. The subhumans did it, the subhumans will lose. And we both know that. The terrorists can no longer change that. They hit like that at Easter, at Christmas, at New Year’s Eve. They call themselves Christians, they are very proud of their orthodoxy. But they stand behind the devil. They are for him and with him,” said Zelenskyy.
