The resident of an apartment building on Schopshofer Weg is accused of shooting at his neighbors with an airgun in the early hours of Friday morning and then setting a fire in the house. Meanwhile, according to the Mettmann district police, investigations into the exact course of events and the motive of the urgent suspect are still ongoing. For this purpose, a murder commission was set up under the direction of the police headquarters in Düsseldorf.

The couple injured in the incident had to be taken to a hospital for inpatient treatment on Friday with serious injuries. There was no danger to life. The couple’s baby was not injured.
