Today NASA will present their brand new space suits the next generation for the Artemis-III-Mission present. In their context 2025 the next astronauts will land on the moon.
The event is sponsored by NASA and the Texas company Axiom Space, which made the space suit. In addition to the presentation of the space suits, a question and answer session with journalists and students can also be expected.
“New spacesuits that allow humans to explore the lunar surface improve our ability for humans to explore space,” writes NASA on the website.
Spacesuit for Artemis-III
Die Artemis-II-Mission is current for November 2024 planned. 4 astronauts will fly around the moon. They will be sent on the same course as the unmanned Artemis I mission and will approach the lunar surface to almost 130 Kilometer approach before returning to earth.
As part of the Artemis III mission, the first woman and first person of color will land on the moon. The space suits presented today will be used for this mission.
