Sports writing, Apr 10 (EFE).- The NBA recorded its stadium attendance record this regular season with 22,234,502 people, 1.3 million more than in the previous season.

The attendance record was not the only milestone achieved this season.

The NBA also said Monday that in the regular season that ended on Sunday, 791 games were played in stadiums at full capacity, more than ever in the history of the United States professional basketball league.

Other records achieved this season were the average attendance per match, 18,077 people, and an occupancy of 97% of the stadiums’ capacity.

The regular season ended Sunday with the Milwaukee Bucks leading the Eastern Conference and the Denver Nuggets leading the West.

Starting tomorrow, April 11, the play-in tournament will be held to decide the last two playoff spots in each conference.

In the East, the Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Toronto Raptors play their way to the playoffs.

In the Western Conference the play-in will be played by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans, a team in which the Spanish Willy Hernangómez plays.
