Pami entered into an agreement with pharmaceutical entities and national and international laboratories, which will guarantee access to free medicines and all the usual treatments for more than 5 million affiliated people during 2023.

They indicated from the agency that “the agreement ensures that the price adjustments at which Pami acquires the medicines it dispenses free of charge are always below the increases in the main macroeconomic variables.” In this way, the agreement guarantees the continuity of the average monthly savings of the affiliates of the Institute, which “this month reached $8,500 per retiree.”

On the other hand, they detailed in a statement that the agreement “stipulates the reduction of delivery times for oncological drugs and special treatments, to guarantee access to treatments in a timely manner for the most sensitive segment.”

A new service for 2 million affiliates who perform hypertensive treatment is also incorporated. As part of Pami’s “Prevent is Health” campaign, members will be able to have their blood pressure checked for free at the pharmacies where they usually pick up their medications.

“The 2023 agreement strengthens the production of the pharmaceutical industry and provides predictability for the dispensing of medicines to the more than 13,000 pharmacies of the Pami network throughout the country,” they detailed.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the social work between the Institute, the three chambers that represent the pharmaceutical industry -Cilfa, Caeme and Cooperala- and the five chambers that bring together the pharmaceutical entities -Cofa, Facaf, Fefara, Afmsra and Farmasur.
