Police and DACO investigate fraud complaints in Bellisima stores

The Police and the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO) are investigating multiple fraud complaints against the “Bellisima C&F” store in Plaza las Américas in San Juan, which offers skin care products, body and facial treatments.

The most recent case is that of a 63-year-old woman who reported transactions in her account, during August 7 and 8, for $10,592. Another 62-year-old man agreed to pay $5,000 for treatment, but was also debited $10,592.

A DACO representative also visited them and fined them because apparently since October they have been operating with their expired merchant registration.

Telenoticias arrived at the premises this Friday when there were several employees, but they hid. Some said behind a door that they were only employees, that they did not want to speak or be recorded. They offered the number of a supposed owner, but after multiple calls they did not answer the cell phone.
