For next season, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, despite a contract until June 2024, has been announced as Chelsea’s sights, looking for a manager. But for his part, the Italian technician has completely dismissed the idea of a return to the Blues bench.
“I feel sad (about the current situation, editor’s note), but I have excellent memories of Chelsea. I am a supporter of the club. I will not go back. Me, return to Chelsea as a coach? No. I think that Lampard is the man for the job and that he will do an excellent job with them,” said the former Paris Saint-Germain coach at a press conference on Tuesday.
As a reminder, Frank Lampard simply acts as interim Chelsea to complete this 2022-2023 financial year.
