the big project which is scheduled to start in October, is also on the agenda of the city council for their meeting on May 3rd. The financing is to be decided – the total costs are said to be around 19 million euros. However, the city also gets financial help from the state for the operation. But it’s not enough for everything. According to Güldner, the city of Potsdam will probably have to bear around 11.4 million euros itself over the next four years. “These funds are not yet included in the draft budget for 2023/2024.” This means that the financial deficit in the city budget, which is worth millions, could continue to grow in the coming years.
