Silent Hill is about to make a comeback with a bang after over a decade in deep slumber. Konami announced last fall that no less than four new games are in development, Silent Hill 2: Remake being one of them, but it seems that there may be even more in the works if the latest rumors are to be believed.
According to Dusk Golem, who was the same man who leaked images of the new Silent Hill last spring, the four that are officially announced are just the beginning. In a forum thread about Konami’s not-yet-announced Silent Hill: The Short Message, which has been listed in Taiwan, among other things, he writes that there are at least three more games in development in addition to The Short Message. If this is true, then we can look forward to at least eight new games in the classic horror series in the coming years.
Until Konami themselves confirm something, these are of course just rumors that should be taken with any amount of salt. Dusk Golem has a history of leaks, sometimes he’s been right and other times he’s been wrong.
