The National Gendarmerie arrested 6 individuals for selling CHAN-2022 tickets on the black market. This concerns tickets for the Algeria-Côte d’Ivoire match, as part of the quarter-finals of the competition.

The national team A’ is preparing to face its Ivorian counterpart for the quarter-finals of CHAN-2022. The match will take place tomorrow Friday at 5 p.m. at the Nelson Mandela Stadium.

As everyone knows, the match aroused great enthusiasm from Algerian fans. Indeed, the tickets sold out in record time, after about five hours since the launch of the sale, via the “Tadkirati” platform.

While several supporters did not have the chance to afford their access ticket, some took the opportunity to sell their tickets at the black market. But the National Gendarmerie quickly cracked down as they managed to arrest those who sold the tickets illegally.

According to our colleagues from Ennahar, six individuals were arrested today. They appeared immediately before the public prosecutor who ordered that they be placed under a warrant of committal.

What was the price of the ticket to the black market?

The Algeria-Côte d’Ivoire match aroused such great enthusiasm that the ticket reached staggering prices at the black market. According to information circulating on social networks, it was estimated between 4000 DA and 10,000 DA.

And yet, the ticket price on the “Tadrikati” platform is very reasonable. Indeed, it costs only 200 DA and this, since the beginning of CHAN-2022.

Now that 6 individuals have been arrested, we hope that this kind of illegal sale will not happen again for the rest of the tournament, especially if the national team can reach the final.
