Adolfo Rodríguez Saá with Juan Schiaretti/La Voz newspaper

Juan Schiaretti pursues the objective of expanding the non-Kirchnerist Peronism that he seeks to represent in the presidential elections. The Cordovan governor met in the last hours with his counterpart from San Luis Alberto Rodríguez Saá in the framework of the construction of an “anti-crack” offer for this year’s electoral appointment.

The meeting took place in Córdoba, days after Schiaretti and Juan Manuel Urtubey from Salta affirmed that they will go to the Paso to define the presidential candidacy of federal Peronism.

Rodríguez Saá is one of the governors who are looking at Peronism not K, where they see that there are possibilities to expand the space based on the distance that several leaders took from Kirchnerism after the impeachment against the members of the Supreme Court.

The San Luis was one of the governors who did not sign support for the prosecution. Another is Sergio Uñac from San Juan. Neither did the president of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti.

In that open distance with the Government, the Schiaretti-Urtubey entente seeks to work, with the idea of expanding non-K Peronism and expanding its territorial development.

Schiaretti took the first step by meeting with Rodríguez Saá, who now seems distant from the Casa Rosada. In fact, he is one of the leaders who decided to separate the elections in his province from the national ones. These provincial elections will be held on June 11 and the San Luis governor appointed Jorge Omar Fernández, current minister of the Superior Court of Justice of San Luis, as his successor.

The governors of both provinces highlighted the need to advance in a country project that prioritizes respect for the institutions of democracy, federalism, the productive sectors and eliminates asymmetries, according to reports.

Schiaretti, who has been maintaining his agenda of meetings with national references to grow the non-Kirchnerist Peronist space, would meet in the next few hours with other leaders.

As was said, both the Cordovan and Urtubey believe that there are possibilities of impregnating this army with muscle, depending on the distance that various Peronist governors have taken from the central power and especially from Kirchnerism.

Although they aspire as a maximum to add the leaders who will play their luck before the national elections in split elections, at a minimum they believe that there are possibilities of supporting the presidential candidates of the non-K space.

In this context, close to Schiaretti said that this week’s activity with Urtubey did not mean the launch of his candidacy. But anyway, it was translated as a strong signal and a virtual decision to compete for the Casa Rosada.
