Tamaulipas, Mexico.- A series of violent events took place in the last few hours in various parts of Tamaulipas, unleashing fear among the inhabitants of Camargo and Soto la Marina.

It was minutes before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, when blockades with heavy trucks were reported, some of which were set on fire after a series of clashes.

This occurred in the town of Rancherías, in the Municipality of Camargo.

According to reports, the clashes were carried out by criminal cells after differences between commanders.

At the entrances or exits of the municipality, the obstacles prevented the drivers from mobilizing, but most of the people who were traveling sought refuge in the houses of acquaintances, terrified by the noise and bursts of machine guns.

The police mobilization lasted until dawn today.

REPELS STATE GUARD AGGRESSION IN SOTO LA MARINA; GUNMAN KILLED

A group of armed subjects aboard three vehicles attacked elements of the State Guard, who, when repelling and chasing the convoy, killed a civilian, seized a truck with heavy-caliber weapons.

The events occurred during the security and surveillance tours that State Guard personnel carry out permanently on Federal Highway 180.

When the armed civilians noticed the police presence, they attacked with bullets and began to flee, which led to persecution and attacks with firearms at kilometer 226 in the municipality of Soto la Marina.

The vehicles identified by the State Guard assets were two Chevrolet Silverado trucks, the same make and model, and a white Tahoe that, upon noticing the police presence, fled, throwing metallic artifacts known as “ponchallantas.”

Derived from these acts carried out on the Rayones-Soto la Marina highway section, three patrols were affected, two of them with bullet holes in the windshield and one more in the tire as a result of the “ponchallantas”.

Likewise, a civilian lost his life in the confrontation and two of the aforementioned vehicles containing eight long weapons, 38 chargers of different calibers, two tactical vests with ballistic plates, three zello radios, five radio chargers, a cell phone were seized. , two batteries for radio, four ballistic helmets, a leg for a short weapon and seven strikeouts.
