Some Agua SUD customers are asked to boil water for human consumption

Due to a reduction in pressure in the water distribution system, the Environmental Quality Commission
de Texas recommends that Agua SUD customers boil their water before consuming it.

The recommendation is specifically for Agua SUD customers who live in the area that includes Jarachinas streets with Tom Gill and Mile 4 with Mile 7 (See map in the image).

Children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria and all customers should follow these instructions.

To ensure the destruction of all possible bacteria and other harmful microbes, the water
for drinking, cooking and making ice must be boiled (and cooled) before use as drinking water
or for other purposes of human consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous boil and then
boil for two minutes.

Instead of boiling, people can buy bottled water, get water from some other
source suitable for drinking or other purposes of human consumption.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, officials will notify that the water is safe for drinking or other human consumption purposes. Once the boil water advisory is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue
a notice to your customers rescinding the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
