At Montpellier, the Swiss has developed into one of Ligue 1’s most stable keepers since arriving in the summer of 2020. Omlin’s greatest strength is playing on the line. He has strong reflexes and, despite his size, goes to the diving station at lightning speed. His mastery of the penalty area, for which he benefits from his dimensions and jumping power, is also impressive.

In terms of football, Omlin does not move at the level of other keepers who have perfected the modern goalkeeping game – then the likeable, escapade-free blond boy would probably be a candidate for the absolute top clubs. Nevertheless: Omlin has the skills to become a regular goalkeeper for several years in Gladbach. He is planned as such.
