The plumber’s train continues to be tough and crush all expectations with more than ten billion kroner in global revenue. Figures such as Illumination, Universal and Nintendo are of course rejoicing and the Super Mario Bros film is the tenth animated film in world history to succeed in crossing this magical boundary. That we will get sequels and other films based on Nintendo brands is therefore a given, something that Shigeru Miyamoto himself happily hinted at last week.
