The Feldkirch cartel is causing a stir in the gastronomy scene.

Behind this polarizing name hides a conglomerate of young wild people who are now stirring up the scene from Feldkirch to Dornbirn with pubs, cafés and clubs.

Whether it’s burgers and fries at One More, Mediterranean cuisine in the canteen, an Asian fusion mix at iX in Dornbirn or Feldkirch, a trendy café in the Jahnhalle, an ice cream parlor with a happy ending, or genuine club culture at Market 33, the former Vakanz – the Kartell scores across the board and brings a fresh, urban breeze to the Vorarlberg industry.

Mafia structures in the cartel?

Of course, this also provides a lot of topics for conversation and rumors about dubious networks, mafia-like structures and financing via Liechtenstein trust funds, which launder dirty money in the cartel companies in this country, make the rounds.

“Inns are dying out” everywhere, many are closing. Not like that Cartel, the umbrella term under which Kassian Xander and René Gmeiner set out to stir up the domestic scene. VOL.AT spoke to the now seven young gentlemen behind the conglomerate about their concept, their philosophy and how they deal with the rumors surrounding the mysterious cartel.
