The Twitter account of the Hazelight studio, represented by the indomitable Josef Fares (Brother: A Tale of Two Sons, A Way Out), has just revealed this breathtaking figure, which could just as well have been put forward by the management of Electronic Arts in this week’s results to delight its shareholders. For the record, the latest figure communicated last July reported 7 million copies sold. Staging the bizarre adventures of a couple of parents on the decline transformed into rag dolls, this action and platform game full of humor and parental sensitivity has seduced the public by multiplying the gameplay ideas of one level to another without ever repeating itself.

Nothing would have been possible without Dr. Hakim

Electronic Arts probably didn’t think it would be such a success by publishing a couple’s therapy game on its EA Originals label, but the publisher obviously gave the Swedish studio carte blanche to do it again with another cooperative title still in development. As to catalog EA Originals, not always so successful, will return to service this month with the release of Koei Tecmo’s Wild Hearts. Mandatory playable for two, without having to buy a second copy, It Takes Two is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
