Two individuals would have entered a Hispanic business in North Philadelphia by chance and without much effort from behind to rob.

The individuals were caught on camera smoking a cigarette before putting on masks to enter La Mamiringa Restaurant, at around 2:00 am on June 6, and after taking the loot, carry soft drinks for the road.

The robbery took place in the 5000 block of North 5th Street.

The duo were inside the store for around 30 minutes and were seen fleeing down an alleyway to the north of 5th Street.

This was the description provided by the Police:

  • Suspect #1: Black male of medium build with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a Nike-branded hoodie and white-striped sweatpants. He used a black ski mask to cover his face.
  • Suspect #2: Black male with a slim build. He was wearing a dark hoodie, a blue scarf, and dark sneakers.

If you recognize them, do not approach them, but alert 911 or the Philadelphia Police line 215-686-TIPS (8477).
