This morning, the Argentine Naval Prefecture found the lifeless body of Albino Bres, near Yahapé, the man was reported missing during the long carnival weekend. According to the police report, this morning the prefecture found the body of Bres floating in the Paraná river near the town of Yahapé in the department of Berón de Astrada in Corrientes.

The Forensic Doctor who performed the autopsy on Brest’s body, indicated that the cause of death was suffocation due to submersion. The circumstances and others continue to be a reason for investigation by police personnel. The complaint of the disappearance was made by his brother Fernando Bres, who denounced at the Ituzaingó First Police Station, that on Sunday afternoon they last saw his brother who had crossed from El Porvenir Island to Ituzaingó to buy supplies and he was returning to his home.

According to the same complaint, Bres planned to return to Ituzaingó the following morning, because he had agreed a trip to cross several people, but they had to find another canoeist after waiting several hours for his arrival. When this boat was approaching El Porvenir Island, they spotted Bres’s canoe off Apipé Chico Island, they got closer and noticed that Bres’s belongings were intact on board but there was no trace of him in the surroundings. Then they approached his house and he was not there either.

Let us remember that the Prefecture together with the Police were searching for Albino Bres, 55, from the moment he disappeared on Monday and his boat was found the next day with his belongings on board.
