CDMX.- Shakira’s theme with Bizarrap, “BZRP Music Sessions #53” became a trend a few minutes after its premiere due to the messages launched against Gerard Piqué, however, the artists were pointed out for similarities of the song with a production by the Venezuelan Briella.

Briella posted a video on TikTok to explain that the two songs have similar elements: “I really think Shakira was inspired by my song ‘Solo tú’ to do her Bizarrap session,” she said.

To argue, Briella compares the chorus fragments of both recordings, pointing out that her production was released in July and enjoyed popularity on TikTok.

“I do not do this video with the intention of looking for problems, I am a lifelong fan of Shakira, I am a fan of Biza’s work and I am really in shock, I don’t know what to do,” he commented.

Briella spoke of her admiration for Shakira by saying “I love Shakira, I idolize her, I’ve been a lifelong fan and it’s even an honor that she plagiarizes me.” She also, she said that she would like to receive credits for the song from Shakira and Bizarrap, in case her song was used as her inspiration.

“If my song was used as a sample or as an inspiration, if they were inspired in any way, I’d like to at least get the credit, because to me as a songwriter that means a lot.”

The Venezuelan said that the similarities were not identified only by her, but that she had received many messages from her followers pointing out possible plagiarism.

In the first 16 hours “BZRP Music Sessions #53” has 31 million views on YouTube, and is the number 1 trend on the video platform.

It is also the most talked about topic on Twitter, where users argue that the interpreter of “Monotonía” “does not get over her breakup with Piqué”, contrary to those who defend that the singer “raise her voice against the infidelity of the footballer”.
